Amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures provide the highest success rate of gender determination; however these procedures are highly invasive and include serious risks. Many expectant moms choose to determine their baby’s gender via ultrasound for its reliability and safety.

In order to access your baby’s gender we first concentrate on the genital area of the fetus. At 16 weeks, the genitalia are easily distinguishable: If your baby is a boy you will observe the penis and scrotum; If your baby is a girl you will observe the labia and clitoris. Gender identification is dependent on many factors: examples of obstructions that may prevent visualization of your baby’s genitalia may be hands, feet, umbilical cord, and more. We aim at making your gender determination experience informative- trying everything we can to show you a visualization of your baby’s gender in it’s current development.

Gender determination will be performed in black & white 2D for best results. We may determine your baby’s gender from 12-38 weeks, however we recommend having a gender determination scan from 16-24 weeks. This stage yields best results for sex identification due to the fetal size and development.
